Asbestos Mesothelioma
Is mesothelioma caused by Asbestos? This is the claim of many medical
studies and many thousands of people who are dyeing from this disease
and the lawsuits that have been brought up by the cancer. .
Lung cancer also knows as bronchogenic carcinoma has been very closely
associated with smoking. Constant cigarette smoking increases your chance
of lung cancer by 10 times over. It has been proven that consistent exposure
to asbestos will increase our likelihood of lung cancer by a factor of
5 times.
Asbestos products have not been used in construction since around
1975. However the product is still in many buildings and poses a problem
for construction crews and other maintenance workers sent in to demolish
or remove the product. There is very little dispute that the singe most
significant etiologic factor to mesothelioma is advanced exposure
to asbestos.
Many occupations are at risk from the disease they include insulators,
pipe fitters, shop workers, maintenance professionals or any other profession
that might deal with the inner workings of buildings and it's forms of
insulation.
Even if you do not work in one of those professions you may of been exposed
