Mesothelioma Symptoms
Symptoms of the desease can be similar to viral pneumonia. And
can be very few and far between. This has been known to cause a dealy
in the diagnosis of this desease.
A Major symptom is pleural effusion this is the buid up of fluid between
the lungs and the chest cavity. X-rays and CT Scans can be used to find
the effusion.
Other symptoms include but are not limited to:
- A continual cough
- Difficulty swallowing
- A quick lose of more than 10% of your body weight
- Short breath or trouble breathing
- A hoarse voice or consistant soar throat
- Accessive Sweat and fevers
- A stinging in the lower back or in your chest
Physical examiniations can lead to further x-rays and test that can diagnos
mesothelioma. Also CT scans, MRI's and other internal organ test can be
helpful in discovering the cancer.
If you have some of these symptoms ask your doctor about the scans and
if an MRI would be advisable. We always advise you to talk to your physician.
